Vetericyn Triple-Action Ear Treatment with 1% Hydrocortisone helps provide itch relief, remove infection-causing buildup, and restore healthy balance to ears suffering from otitis externa and other serious irritations and infections of the ear.

How To Use

Shake bottle before use. Fill ear canal with product and gently massage the affected area, allowing it to stay inside ear. Wipe away excess liquid. Head shaking after application is common. Repeat once (1) per day for seven (7) days. Avoid water near ears during treatment. Avoid contact with eyes. Consult your veterinarian for extended use.

Is it safe to use on newborn animals? 
For newborn animals, consult with your veterinarian before use.  

Should I use a Q-tip or cotton swab to apply the solution in my pet’s ear?
No. Filling the ear canal with the solution is the best way to provide relief and aid in breakdown of ear exudate.

Does it work for ear mites? 
No, Vetericyn Ear Treatment is not intended to treat or kill ear mites. 

Does it have a scent? 
Ear Treatment has a very mild, natural scent from the botanical extracts.

Can it be used for swimmer’s ear in dogs? 
Yes. Ear Treatment will help soothe and relieve common ear problems like Otitis Externa, otherwise known as swimmer’s ear.

Can I use if the eardrum is not intact?
Do not use if there’s a chance your dog’s eardrum is not intact or ruptured. Please consult with your veterinarian for the best treatment options for your pet and specific situation.

Can I use this along with other topical ear cleaners or treatments?
No. Please do not use any other ear treatments during the 7-day application. It is also recommended to keep the ear away from water during treatment.

How is Vetericyn Triple Action Ear Treatment different from Vetericyn Plus Ear Rinse?
Vetericyn Triple-Action Ear Treatment is an oil-based solution designed to relieve and aid the healing of serious irritations or infections in the ear like otitis externa and is a 7-day treatment. Vetericyn Ear Rinse is a hypochlorous solution designed for cleaning, maintenance, and can be used daily as a preventative for healthy ears that are more susceptible to  infections. 

How much should I put in the ear each day?
Directions for use indicate filling up the ear canal with the solution once per day for seven days. Amount will vary based on the size of your dog.

Will the solution stain clothing or furniture?
There is a possibility of staining some materials. If you are concerned about staining, we recommend applying the product with the dog in the bathtub or outdoors.

What is Otizyme?

What is Hydrocortisone?

What is Botaniplex™?
Botaniplex is a blend of natural botanical extracts (Phellodendron Chinense Bark Extract, Chrysanthemum Indicum Flower Extract) that are known to help prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and fungi while encouraging the growth of beneficial ones.  Properties include anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, sebum regulating, and antimicrobial.

Can I use longer than the 7 days indicated on the package?
It is not recommended to use the product more than seven days. Please consult with your veterinarian for extended use.

My dog shakes his/her head after application. Is this ok?
Yes. Head shaking is common and expected. Please allow the solution to remain in the ear canal as long as possible before head shaking. Massaging the ear during application can help.

How long will it take to see results?
For common ear ailments, results will improve during the 7-day treatment.   Depending on the severity of the ear, veterinary attention may be needed.

Are there any side effects?
There are no known side effects under normal use conditions.   Extended use of hydrocortisone over time can soften skin tissues, including tissues that make up the ear drum.   Extended use should only be done after consulting with your veterinarian.

Is it safe to use after the expiration date?
While the product is safe after its expiration date, efficacy may be lower. We recommend replacing any product after it expires.

Can I use this on my cat?
Yes. Vetericyn Ear Treatment is safe to use for ear issues in dogs and cats.

Is it ok to use in conjunction with medications, prescription dog food, or other oral medications I am currently giving my dog? There are no known contra-indications that Vetericyn Triple-Action Ear Treatment would cause an adverse reaction with other ingestible products. If you are unsure, please consult with your veterinarian.
