READ FAQs
Can you use Vetericyn® Hoof Soak after the expiration date, if so, how long after?
We recommend using Vetericyn® Hoof Soak before the product’s expiration date on the bottom of the jar (36 months from time of manufacture). There are no known safety concerns if the product is used after the expiration date.
What is the difference between Vetericyn’s Hoof Soak and Hoof Care? How do I determine which product to use?
Hoof Care is intended for use on superficial thrush and beginning stages of white line disease & seedy toe. Hoof Soak is a more intense treatment and is used when thrush has extended rather deep into the hoof over time or when white line separation has extended up the hoof wall and laminar separation is present or when abscesses have formed and tracking (deep tunneling) has occurred. Abscesses typically work up the white line towards the path of least resistance and progress towards the coronary band. The healthier the White Line region, the less likely Abscesses are to occur.

This means that Vetericyn® Hoof Soak contains no ingredients that would result in a positive blood or urine analytical test for non-permitted substances in race or show animals (if ingested or licked).
