Our goal at Vetericyn is to continue to improve the overall wellness of animals. We believe in helping those who share our core values of animal care and wellbeing. We aim to support individuals who are looking to pursue a career in animal health and agriculture, because we know what it takes to bring positive impacts to the animal wellness industry.
Each year we are proud to award an annual Future Leaders of Agricultural and Veterinary Science Scholarship to two high school graduates who intend on pursuing a higher education in the fields of agriculture, animal health and veterinary sciences. Our team at Vetericyn was able to select two deserving individuals from a talented pool of applicants. Our scholarship offers a proud sum of $2,000 per award winner.
Sydney Wyman
From the state of California Sydney Wyman is an astounding student who focuses on her impact in livestock showing and her community. She grew up raising club lambs and was able to be a part of the entire breeding and showing process. Sydney especially took an interest in the nutrition aspect of things which led her into choosing animal nutrition as her major at the University of Nevada-Reno, she will also be participating as a student athlete and playing collegiate volleyball.
Mackenzie Meyers
Growing up in Florida, Mackenzie Meyers raised and showed cattle most of her life giving her a huge outlook on the industry. She has immersed herself in opportunities to learn all about cattle nutrition and the different ways certain areas in the country raise cattle. Mackenzie plans on attending Florida Gateway College for two years, and then plans on transferring to the University of Florida to pursue a B.S. in Animal Science and has hopes to get her PhD cattle nutritionist.
