This year’s BlogPaws Conference couldn’t have been more successful, especially if you have attended this growing conference before. The conference was held in the beautiful city of Tyson’s Corner, Virginia, roughly twenty minutes from our nation’s capital, and from May 16-18 pet bloggers, pet enthusiasts, social media marketers and companies gathered together. With plenty of opportunities to network with one another, learn and educate each other about blogging and social media in the pet industry, we weren’t going to miss this opportunity to bring Vetericyn.
With an array of vendors, companies and bloggers in attendance, it was hard for anyone to pass up a chance to grab a free sample or even a photo opp throughout all three days. If you’re an avid pet blogger with a persona of your own online, you were probably well familiar with a lot of faces, both pets and parents. You might have even considered many attendees to be celebrities because of the large following many of them have gained through their cleaver blogging and online efforts.
Now while there was always some sort of fun happening of every moment of every day at the conference, like everyone else who attended, we wanted to learn! With a great schedule of sessions to choose from each day, attendees had their pick from learning about SEO, growing their Facebook fans, the basics of starting a blog, photography, monetizing your blog and so much more. The great thing about all of the sessions was being able to pick and choose your level of learning, which ultimately helped you decide if you should attend the beginners versus pro sessions. The speakers in all of the sessions were experts on their topics and provided amazing advice whether you were a beginner or expert of your own.
Aside from our Vetericyn team attending, we also supplied Vetericyn samples that were also included in all of the swag bags attendees should have received during registration. Other products included in the swag bags included products from OraStrip, Greenies, Jones Natural Chews, Dogster, Petcurean, and many more. This was enough to get any attendee excited about what else was to come during the conference. We also met a lot of different bloggers with some amazing blogs such as Beagles and Bargains and Ralph the Poodle. Sony even attended to show off a cool camera gadget that can be strapped to your pet’s back, giving an awesome view of what your pet is up to while on the go.
Overall, BlogPaws 2013 was great! We learned so much, brought awareness to the Vetericyn brand, and even picked up some new favorite blogs of ours along the way. Well done BlogPaws!
