– Five Animal Non-Profits Win a Year’s Supply of Wound and Skin Care Products –
RIALTO, Calif, Nov. 14, 2012 – Innovacyn, the makers of Vetericyn animal wound and skin care products, today announced the winners of the company’s second annual “Vetericyn Loves Animals” online charity contest. The five non-profit organizations who received the most votes and each won a year’s supply of Vetericyn products are: Prince Fluffy Kareem; The Wildlife Aid Foundation; 832 Canine’s Deputy Dogs; Hedgehog Bottom; and All Vegas Horses’ Local Equine Assistance Network.
A total of 113 groups were nominated on the Vetericyn web site. Voting took place for three weeks on the Vetericyn Facebook page, with more than 16,000 votes coming in for the charities. In addition to winning a year’s supply of product, the five organizations also received prizes from contest supporters World Vets, Clinton Anderson’s Downunder Horsemanship, and Cesar Millan.
“The diversity of winners really underscores the wide-ranging needs of animals around the world. Vetericyn is thrilled that our products will be used to help everything from camels in Egypt to bloodhounds for law enforcement to wild hedgehogs in England,” said Tabitha Cromer, marketing communications manager for Innovacyn.
In addition, Vetericyn has offered to send a case of wound and skin care products to each of the 113 nominated charities. “Every one of the organizations that was nominated is doing critical work to help animals. We salute the selfless volunteers that keep these groups going, and are happy to provide Vetericyn products to support them as they work to improve the health and lives of animals,” said Cromer.
