We believe that a thriving future for the industry starts with investing in passionate students who are ready to make an impact. Through the Future Leaders of Agriculture and Veterinary Science Scholarship, we’re honored to help empower those dreams.
Because the applicant pool was so impressive this year, we couldn’t choose just two recipients like in years past. Instead, the 2025 program grew to honor four outstanding graduating seniors who are pursuing studies in agriculture, veterinary science, biology, and animal health. After reviewing an exceptional group of candidates, we’re excited to introduce the recipients of the 2025 Future Leaders of Agriculture & Veterinary Sciences Scholarship.
Josie Murray
2025 Vetericyn Scholarship Winner
Born and raised in Wellston, Oklahoma, Josie Murray is an 18-year-old 2025 graduate with a strong record of leadership and service. Throughout high school, she served as President of her FFA chapter, captained the Varsity Basketball team, and was active in multiple clubs and organizations. Rodeo runs deep in her family—who produce rodeos professionally—so much of her time is spent traveling and helping on the road. Josie will attend Oklahoma State University this fall and plans to major in biology as she builds a future in animal health
Reagan-Kennedy Hudnall
2025 Vetericyn Scholarship Winner
Hailing from New Braunfels, Texas, Reagan-Kennedy Hudnall served as president of the Canyon–New Braunfels FFA chapter. Growing up with a physical disability meant she was often limited in traditional extracurriculars, but FFA became her competitive arena and source of connection. Her involvement in the show industry, along with her passion for agricultural communications and advocacy, has shaped her future goals. Reagan-Kennedy is majoring in Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University with focuses in Agricultural and Natural Policy and Global Animal Health Industry Sales and Marketing. She plans to pursue agricultural law to help close the gap between producers and policymakers.
